Fetish Alive

Sexual Fetishism is use of inanimate objects as stimulus to sexual arousal and satisfaction. It is an alternative to male or female sexuality. Any attention given to inanimate objects, body parts, body features, or sexual behavior are examples of sexual fetishes. Sexual Fetishism may be regarded as a disorder of sexual preference or as an enhancing element to a relationship. It isn't a problem, of course, unless it interferes with normal sexual or social functioning.

Fetishism was first coined in 1887 and was considered pathological. Freud published a psychoanalytic view of fetishism in 1927, which introduced the term into common usage. He thought that fetishism resulted from psychological trauma. With the Kinsey report in the 1970s  and the sexual revolution, however, fetishism began to be recognized less as an illness or maladjusted form of sexual behovior. Today, sexual orientations that are considered fetishs are recognized as normal variations of human sexuality by psychologists and medical doctors. Even potential fetishs are usually considered unobjectionable as long as all involved feel comfortable.
