Peaches VaVoom, Director of Cabaret Boheme, is known as "Mistress of Pleasure and Pain"... quick to give her cast a caressing pat or a corrective spank. As a gardener in her past career, her fruits where always known to be firm and ripe. She was rumored to have the tastiest peaches. She considers her Cabaret Boheme Cast and Crew to be her best crop ever. But please don't bruise the merchandise... that's her job.
Mad Cardigan, a photographer, previous owner of Gallerie Plastique, and current owner of the Disposable Gallery, is continually drawn back to the theatre throughout his life by unseen forces. He has worked in box offices, concession stands, side shows, even pit orchestras. Born in Minnesota, the photographer emigrated to Tucson last year, where he began shooting environmental portraits of Cabaret Boheme performers. Of course the appeal of the man behind the camera could not be overlooked. With a strong musical background in concert performance and marching band, along with his history with spoken word at various open-mic nights, the Cabaret was a match made in heaven.
Miguelvis Peru, reigning King of all Incas, exiled from his homeland, wrongly accused, coming to America, he astutely adopted the moniker "Miguelvis" to reflect his kindred spiritship with another "King"... Quickly adapting to western culture and life and obtaining a degree in Pimpology from the prestigious Whatsamata U., Miguelvis is often found in dark corners of the best clubs instructing his current paramour. "I'm a King, so KING" me".....
Sarafina Labyrinth was born under the stage in the abandoned Teatro Carmen and grew up in the derelict theatre. One day, Sarafina figured out how to turn on the antique footlights. She has been standing in them ever since, in one theatre or another, from Merry Olde England, to Santa Fe, to Tucson. Most recently, Sarafina joined the rag-tag band of theatrical misfits known as "Cabaret Boheme." Sarafina loves to drink shots of whiskey and sleep under the stars... as long as the "stars" have names like Olivier Martinez, Matthew McConaughey, Alan Rickman and Nathan Fillion.
Paloma Azul was found wandering a desert highway in Mexico at the age of 4. She was rescued by a nomadic tribe of lesbians who put her to work as an animal trainer and kept her happy with rum and coke. She loves her new Cabaret Boheme family as she considers herself a true Vaudevillian entertainer. Paloma loves to make people laugh as a writer and as a performer. Her major influences include Mae West, Louise Brooks, Anton Chekhov, Groucho Marx, and Sesame Street.
Conceived in the underworld and birthed by an incubus on the primeval shores, The Beast claims to be as old as time. No one truly knows his origins, but one look at that body and who cares! In true vaudevillian style, The Beast retracts his horns to sing and entertain us all. But beware... stand too close and you might get hurt.
Lady Dragon Fire is known to set the stage aflame. With her blazing hair and smoldering voice your blood is sure to boil. You may recognize her as the emcee from last year's Desert Dominion Southwest Fetish Ball. We are sure you won't forget her scorching performance this year! Be careful if you crossing her path she might just eat you alive... if you're lucky. And don't forget...
Trixie Fields, also known as "lil darlin" by every hayseed south of the Mason Dixon, was, as one might expect, discovered working in a field. To the delight of her fellow cotton pickers, she sang to pass the time. She was plucked out of the field by a slick, Yankee agent who introduced her to Broadway via a quick roll in the hay. Of course we are speaking of West Broadway boulevard, but it's all the better for Cabaret Boheme. We are proud to call Trixie our own. |
