Jeff and Chris have been composing music together for 12 years. Originally from Detroit, they have been in over 15 different bands, and preformed many styles from hardcore death metal to tango to punk. In 2002 they realized it was time for something new, so they packed up and headed west to New Mexico, in an 91 Ford Mustang, with only their equipment, clothes, and $100. The boys created Vertigo Venus shortly after their arrival in Albuquerque.

Since that fateful summer, the boys have recorded and released two albums along with performing an inhuman amount of shows. Their unusual clashing of music and personality is quickly getting recognized in the New Mexico music scene.

The Vertigo Venus' live show is intense. With the help of three live members, Ken Cornell (the heartbeat of harsh noise an ambient in Abq.) on bass, Brian Botkiller (of Brian Botkiller ... ?) on drums, and the Rev. Buddy System on Keyboard, VV puts on a high energy and often hilarious show. Chris and Jeff have an onstage banter similar to that of sonny and cher... only metal.
